New Event, Who Dis?

Basement War Gamers’ Kill Team Jawn, Kill Team Stream, and Plasma Spam are proud to announce the Kill Team collaboration of the decade! We’ve teamed up to create the most epic Kill Team-themed event ever!

We put our heads together and thought: What was the one thing holding competitive Kill Team back? We realized most major Kill Team events are tied to existing 40K or AOS majors, and therefore truly don’t have the space to grow and build a scene, because a lot of the player-base of Warhammer overlaps with multiple different Games Workshop properties. So, in order to build the numbers necessary to make Kill Team truly competitive and massive, there needs to be an event dedicated solely to the game.

Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team is a fast-paced kinetic skirmish game, and has a huge potential to be the breakout competitive star of the wargaming scene. Hopefully by creating an event dedicated solely to the game, Warhammer 40,000 players will have the opportunity to come and finally get the chance to try it out competitively without worrying about missing potential ITC points because a 40K major is happening simultaneously.

The brainchild of Steve Mancino, David Smeresky, Rion Wilfong, and Sheldon Steere, the Kill Team Open is a love poem dedicated to the Kill Team Community. Our goal with this event is to take competitive wargaming to the next level, providing a great tournament, delicious food and drink catering, workshops, raffles, vendors, amazing prizes, and more! We want to make an event so cool that Warhammer 40K players will want to switch game systems!
